There is a common and beautiful misconception that advertising and design are the same discipline.
In reality, both are market-driven activities under mass communication, but they serve distinct purposes. One is responsible for building relationships between brands and consumers, while the other conceptualizes how to present the brand attractively to consumers.
Advertising acts as the matchmaker between brand and consumer, guiding the brand's communication and demeanor. Design is the stylist, deciding how the brand should be visually presented. To achieve success, both are indispensable, yet they are clearly separate, specialized professions.
This exhibition features student works from both the Advertising Professional Diploma Course and the Corporate Image Design Certificate Course. The pieces are derived from classroom exercises and include both individual concepts and group projects.
The focus is not on polished technical skill, but on showcasing the potential and even mature creativity of the students.
All are welcome to visit and share your insights!
