About the Performance

International sensation Goran Bregovic brings his Wedding & Funeral Orchestra to Macao for an unforgettable concert that transforms into an intense celebration of life. From his early days as a rock star to becoming a master of Gypsy music, the Serbian artist has created a unique sound that blends passionate Balkan folk, elegant European classicism, Gypsy brass, ethnic percussion, and rock guitar. His music is a wild, melancholic, and utterly captivating fusion.

The Artist

Over a career spanning more than three decades, Bregovic has released over 30 albums and collaborated with icons like Cesária Évora and Iggy Pop. He is also a renowned film composer, having created award-winning scores for films such as Arizona Dream, Underground, and Queen Margot.

The Show

For this performance, Bregovic leads a 19-piece ensemble featuring a Gypsy brass band, Bulgarian singers, a male vocal sextet, and a string quartet. The program includes selections from his latest album "Champagne for Gypsies," previous works, and famous film scores, promising a high-energy, carnival-like party.
