About the Event

Global Game Jam (GGJ) is an annual game development event that provides a platform for participants to join developers worldwide in creating games based on a single theme. Participants must work in small teams to develop a game within 48 hours. Many games on the market today originated from Game Jams. The 2017 Macao edition offers a great opportunity for local game developers to showcase their skills.

• Date: January 20–22, 2017
• Time: 5:00 PM (Jan 20) to 8:00 PM (Jan 22)
• Location: Convention Centre Meeting Room, Macao Science Centre, Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, Macao
• Admission: Free
• Target Participants: Ages 18 and above, with some familiarity in game development aspects such as visuals, music, planning, production, and programming.
• Overnight Stay: The organizer provides a meeting room as overnight accommodation. Participants must bring their own sleeping bags. Drinking water is supplied on-site.
• Meals: Food is provided by the event, or participants may dine at nearby restaurants at their own expense.
• Equipment: Participants are advised to bring their own computers.

Day 3 – Finalization & Showcase

• 10:00: Playable Beta Version Presentation
• 13:00–14:00: Lunch
• 15:00–16:30: Final Version Upload to GGJ Official Website
• 16:30–19:00: Final Version Presentation & Demo Show (10 minutes per team)
