Hailed as one of the greatest love stories of all time, the iconic film Ghost comes to life on the Macau stage! This original stage musical is adapted by the film's writer and Oscar-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin, faithfully recreating unforgettable classic scenes. Witness the romantic pottery-making moment set to "Unchained Melody," the hilarious antics of the psychic Oda Mae Brown, and the intense subway battle with a malevolent spirit—all brought vividly to the stage.
Perfectly blending supernatural and romantic elements, Ghost has inspired countless works, but the original story remains the most poignant. Deeply in love, Sam and Molly are torn apart by a tragic accident. Unable to leave Molly behind, Sam's spirit stays by her side, only to discover his death was no accident and that Molly is now in grave danger. With the help of the reluctant psychic Oda Mae, Sam must use every ounce of his remaining energy to protect the woman he loves.
The film was a critical and box-office sensation, famous for its groundbreaking visual effects depicting spirits passing through walls. To recreate these magical moments on stage, the production enlisted illusionists who worked on Harry Potter and Hugo to craft a series of astonishing stage illusions. The score features brand-new pop songs created by Grammy Award-winning musicians. This high-caliber production, boasting a team of award-winning creatives, earned multiple nominations for prestigious theatre awards including the UK's Olivier Awards and America's Tony Awards. Having triumphed in London's West End and on Broadway, and toured across Europe, America, and Asia to critical acclaim and standing ovations, the original UK production makes its debut in Macau. Prepare to be moved once more by the power of love in this epic romantic masterpiece.
