The Macao String Music Association is dedicated to elevating the performance level and technique of local string musicians, fostering musical exchange and friendship among members, and enhancing the teaching and training quality of local string music educators. This mission aims to provide the next generation with a superior learning environment for string music. The association also offers performance opportunities, event information, and consultation services to its members, while assisting local organizations in hosting string music exchange sessions, workshops, and lectures. It further supports and organizes member participation in and the hosting of major music events.
Since its establishment, the Macao String Music Association has consistently focused on string music to promote and advance Macao's musical development. The association has organized instrument courses and a string orchestra at Yuet Wah College for many years, achieving gradual success. The string orchestra has become capable of independent performances and represents the school at significant events.
"A minute on stage takes ten years of practice off stage." Coinciding with the association's 10th anniversary in 2021, this concert aims to showcase a decade of educational achievements to the public of Macao.
