Circle Painting is a collective art experience that encourages participants to unleash their creativity and bridge gaps between different perspectives and ideas through a shared canvas.
Founded in 2007 by American artist Hiep Nguyen under the philosophy of "Art for All, All for Art," it involves connecting simple circles and linear patterns drawn by different individuals to create unique artworks. This allows people of all ages, races, genders, and abilities to come together and enjoy the artistic journey. To date, over 100,000 people from 10 countries have participated, co-creating circle-themed art, including large community murals, diverse banners, and radial totem works.
Its core values are Inclusion, Cooperation, and Imagination. Through collective creation, participants not only enjoy art but also experience mutual cooperation, collective imagination, and inclusive growth. They learn counseling theories and techniques using art as a medium, which can be applied in future youth service work.
