Fun Heritage Thematic Lectures 2022
To deepen public understanding of Zheng Guanying, a renowned modern Chinese thinker and industrialist, and his influential work "Shengshi Weiyan" (Warnings in Times of Prosperity), as well as to introduce the history and value of the Ruins of St. Paul's College, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) is launching two new thematic lectures under the "Fun Heritage" program in March. Admission is free, and all schools, institutions, and organizations are welcome to participate.
Lecture Topics
- Zheng Guanying: The Untold Story
This lecture commemorates the 180th anniversary of Zheng Guanying's birth. It shares stories about his life and his seminal work "Shengshi Weiyan" from various perspectives.
- Unveiling the Ruins of St. Paul's College
This lecture introduces the history and value of the Ruins of St. Paul's College and the archaeological discoveries at the site, highlighting Macao's role as a crucial node on the Maritime Silk Road.

- Lecture Duration:
- For schools: Approximately 40 minutes per session
- For organizations/institutions: Approximately 60 to 90 minutes per session
- Admission: Free
- Target Audience: Schools, institutions, and community organizations
The "Fun Heritage" program will continue to organize various activities to share knowledge about cultural heritage protection from multiple angles.
