Famous teas refer to well-known, high-quality teas, typically distinguished by their excellent color, aroma, taste, unique appearance, and superior quality. China's tea-making history spans thousands of years. Since the Tang Dynasty, famous teas have emerged in abundance, with some varieties still being produced today, bridging history to become modern famous teas. Examples include Guzhu Zisun from the Tang Dynasty, Mengding Tea from the Song Dynasty, Wuyi Rock Tea from the Ming Dynasty, and West Lake Longjing from the Qing Dynasty.
This tea gathering will introduce the famous teas from various dynasties and explain the reasons they were selected as renowned varieties.
You can also participate in the free tea tasting service at the Macao Tea Culture House every Saturday and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
