Bloodstain Pattern Analysis (10:00–12:30)
- Speaker: Dr. Zhang Jinxian (Forensic DNA and Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Expert)
- Introduction: Retired chemist from the Hong Kong Government Laboratory, currently Adjunct Assistant Professor at the School of Life Sciences, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Involved in forensic investigations of many major cases, including the high-profile "Tsui Po-ko Shooting Case."
- Lecture Synopsis: DNA analysis can only determine who left blood, hair, or saliva at a crime scene, while bloodstain pattern analysis allows forensic personnel to understand how the crime was committed. The speaker will first explain various bloodstain patterns and then guide the audience through a crime scene investigation, using learned techniques to reconstruct the event and find the culprit.

How to Confirm the True Identity of an Unidentified Decomposed Body Found at Sea? (14:00–16:30)
- Speaker: Dr. Liu Jianbo (Criminal Investigation Expert)
- Introduction: Former unit commander in the Uniformed Operations Branch and the Serious Crime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department, with over 38 years of service in the police force.
- Lecture Synopsis: How can investigators from the Regional Serious Crime Unit confirm the true identity of a decomposed body found at sea when there is no ID on the deceased and fingerprints cannot be obtained due to decomposition? Dr. Liu Jianbo will humorously share how investigators use their professional skills and forensic knowledge to correctly identify the body and determine if it is a murder case.
