To let citizens feel the festive atmosphere of the Lunar New Year, the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) will open two designated zones for setting off firecrackers, fireworks, and rockets in Macau and Taipa, starting from 12:00 noon on January 30 (Chinese New Year's Eve). The IACM urges the public to only set off these items within the designated zones to avoid disturbing others and facing prosecution.
Zone Locations & Stalls
- Macau Peninsula Zone: Located on Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-sen, near Macau Tower.
- 8 stalls selling firecrackers, fireworks, and rockets.
- 2 stalls selling snacks and drinks.
- Taipa Zone: Located on Avenida do Almirante Marques Esparteiro, near the waterfront.
- 5 stalls selling firecrackers, fireworks, and rockets.

- Operating Dates: January 30 (Chinese New Year's Eve) to February 5 (6th day of the New Year).

Important Notice
To combat illegal firecracker setting and unlicensed sales during the festival, the IACM has set up a 24-hour complaint hotline (6300 5700) from January 30 to February 4 (for six consecutive days). The public can call this hotline to report any violations.
