The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) invites families to join the "Family Farming Fun" workshop. This hands-on activity aims to provide a unique parent-child experience centered around farming and environmental awareness.
Participants will enjoy a guided tour of the Mong-Há Hill Environmental Information Centre to learn about Macao's environmental sanitation facilities and related work. The main highlight is a hands-on farming session where families can experience the joy of planting and learn practical gardening techniques.
The workshop aims to teach children the value of food, foster an appreciation for not wasting food, and promote bonding between parents and children through a shared activity. Notably, the organic fertilizer used in the planting activity is produced from the IACM's food waste composting program, showcasing the results of this sustainable initiative.
Participants are required to bring their own drinking water, sun protection, and mosquito repellent.
