Program Overview
Known as the 'Land of Abundance,' Sichuan is famous nationwide for its unique Ba-Shu culture and spicy cuisine. Its distinctive geological structure and nature conservation efforts are equally worthy of in-depth understanding and exploration. Through briefings, participants will learn about Sichuan's history, culture, natural resources, and social changes. This program aims to deepen young people's understanding of Chinese history, culture, and contemporary development in various forms, strengthen their pride as part of the Chinese nation, and thereby enhance their national identity.
Key Activities
- Visiting the national treasure conservation project, the Panda Base, and exchanging with local panda conservation volunteers.
- Understanding the development, utilization, and planning of natural ecological reserves.
- Reflecting on humanity's role in relation to nature and achieving harmony with it.
- Inspecting historical monuments within Sichuan Province to increase knowledge of Chinese history and culture.
- Deepening Macao youth's understanding of the nation and Chinese folk culture.
Practical Information
- Exchange Dates: December 26–30, 2018
- Exchange Location: Chengdu, Sichuan Province
- Quota: 15 participants
- Eligibility: Macao youth aged 17 to 45

- Fill out the application form and submit it along with one photo, a copy of your Macao ID card, and a copy of your Home Return Permit.
- Submit via email to [email protected] or in person to the Bairro da Areia Preta Community Service Centre of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau.

- Includes round-trip airfare, local accommodation, meals, transportation, insurance, and attraction tickets.
- A deposit of MOP 500 is required, which will be refunded upon completion of the activity and submission of a 500-word reflection.
