Competition Overview
Win a two-week study tour to the UK by participating in the third "Experience Macau" English essay competition for high school students. This event aims to enhance local students' English writing skills, promote Macau's diverse image, and deepen understanding of British culture.
Competition Details
- Topic: Experience Macau
- Word Count: Approximately 500 words
- Eligibility: All high school students in Macau
- Submission Deadline: Friday, April 24, 2015
- Submission Method: Complete the application form and submit it along with a 1.5-inch photo and your essay via email to [email protected] or in person at the organizing center.
- Selection Process: Winners will be selected through a first-round essay submission and a second-round interview.
Prizes
- Champion: A two-week UK summer study tour (accommodation and meals included), valued at MOP 20,000. (The winner is responsible for travel insurance and airfare.)
- 2nd Place: MOP 500 bookstore voucher.
- 3rd Place: MOP 400 bookstore voucher.
- 4th Place: MOP 300 bookstore voucher.
- 5th Place: MOP 200 bookstore voucher.
- Note: Prizes for 2nd to 5th place are sponsored by De Zhi Education Centre and Asia International Education Centre.
Important Notes
- The top five finalists must attend the awards ceremony.
- The champion must submit a 500-word English report after completing the summer course.
- Application forms are available for pick-up at the organizing center or can be requested via Facebook inbox.
About the UK Summer English Course
The champion will attend a two-week English and cultural immersion course at Gloucestershire College in the UK, studying alongside students from around the world.
