The September edition of the Evening Concert “Sing with Joy” features the captivating sounds of a cappella music. Organized by IACM and produced by Musical Power of Macau, this free concert promises an evening of vocal harmony and rhythm.
Featured Artists
The Gay Singers
- Founded in 1994 in Hong Kong.
- A leading a cappella group known for their diverse repertoire.
- They perform a wide range of music, including traditional Chinese and Western songs, popular tunes for all ages, children's songs, and vocal imitations of instrumental music.
- All songs are arranged by the group themselves, many of which are well-known classics, such as "The Moon Represents My Heart" and the theme from "Ultraman".
- Featured in specials on RTHK's Music Attraction and TVB's Hong Kong Connection.
- Awarded the "Lifestyle Award" by Metro Broadcast and invited as guests on the program Renaissance.
Macao A Cappella Association
- Formed by enthusiasts passionate about singing and a cappella music.
- Began regular rehearsals in 2011 and actively participates in public performances to promote contemporary a cappella.
- Past performances include services at the Episcopal Church of St. Marcus (December 2011, April 2012) and the "Love Life" Live Music Sharing Session at the Tap Seac Youth Pavilion (June 2012).
- Their repertoire includes diverse styles such as contemporary hymns, animation theme songs, classic hits, and pop music.
