Li Xuan (Mesiiya), who calls herself a (pseudo) literary shoujo manga artist, has previously published short comics "LOOP" and "Ink Forest Misty Rain" on the digital platform 24Reader. Eternal Return is the first work she has published under her own name, entirely self-written, illustrated, and self-funded.
Eternal Return is a fictional story about the protagonist, Lanis, who sets out to fulfill his grandfather's wish to find the bluebird. The work took half a year to develop from concept to completion. Personal creation requires persistent endurance; any slackening can be ruined by inertia. Therefore, Li Xuan divided the drawing process into four goals. After completing the artwork, she admits the real challenge came afterward. She spent over a month dealing with printing and publishing—unforeseen difficulties due to a lack of basic printing knowledge, sales channels, and promotional avenues. She encountered many obstacles along the way, but driven by her passion for comics, she finally succeeded in publishing Eternal Return.
The event will feature a creative sharing session and book signing by author Li Xuan.
