An exclusive percussion concert featuring the internationally renowned Japanese marimba virtuoso, Eriko Daimo. Presented by the Macau Percussion Association, this special event showcases masterful performances and includes a post-concert masterclass.
Featured Artist: Eriko Daimo
- Birthplace: Kagoshima, Japan
- Education: Bachelor's degree from Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music; Performance Diploma from Berklee College of Music, Boston, USA.
- Achievements: Award-winning marimba soloist, champion of prestigious competitions including the Belgium International Marimba Competition, Japan International Artists Competition, and Japan PAS 20th Annual Percussion Solo Competition.
- Experience: Has toured extensively across Asia, Europe, and the Americas, performing solo concerts.
Concert Highlights
- Eriko Daimo will perform her own arrangements.
- Special guest performance with Canadian-Chinese marimba virtuoso and composer, Junliang Zhang, playing his arrangements.
- Asian premiere of Charlie Chaplin, a piece composed for Daimo by American percussionist and composer David Friedman.
- Collaborative performance with members of the Macau Percussion Association: Ruki Lai, Qianying Chen, and Ronghui Xu.
