August Activities Open for Registration!
A series of environmental education and family-friendly workshops and explorations are available throughout August 2025.
Activity 1: Succulent Pot DIY
- Date: Saturday, August 3, 2025
- Time: 15:00–16:00
- Target: Parents & children (child aged 6+), and adults
- Description: Use recycled pots, nutrient soil, and succulent plants to create your own unique ecological pot. A chance to be a creator!
Activity 2: Five Senses Reading x Workshop - "If There Were No Oil"
- Date: Saturday, August 9, 2025
- Time: 15:00–16:30
- Target: Parents & children (child aged 3–8)
- Description: Explore the picture book "If There Were No Oil" through games. Learn about the origins of oil and ways to protect resources, like using bicycles.
Activity 3: Night Forest Exploration - Stick Insects
- Date: Saturday, August 16, 2025
- Time: 20:00–21:30
- Target: Parents & children (child aged 5+), and adults
- Meeting Point: Hac Sa Reservoir Bus Stop
- Activity Location: Hac Sa Reservoir
- Description: Discover the long, slender stick insect that camouflages itself among leaves during a night exploration.
Activity 4: Explore the Animal Specimen Exhibition Hall
- Date: Sunday, August 24, 2025
- Time: 15:00–16:30
- Target: Parents & children (child aged 6+), and adults
- Meeting Point: Entrance of the Animal Specimen Exhibition Hall
- Activity Location: Rua do Taman, Coloane
- Description: Visit themed exhibition rooms to learn about the relationship between Macao's ecology and animals, from extinct pangolins to the unique Nanhai freshwater crab.
