Registration for October activities is now open! Join a series of creative and eco-friendly workshops at the Eco-Fun Station (Barbosa).
Did you know there are many types of plastic? The plastic boxes (PS) used for sushi can be used for more than just food—they can be upcycled into DIY hanging ornaments! Learn the principles behind this transformation.
About Plastic PS: The scientific name is "Polystyrene," also known as "hard plastic." Its molecular chain structure is simple, and due to the benzene ring, it is slightly harder than PP, but its downside is lower toughness and brittleness. Common applications include plastic cutlery, packaging box lids, and Yili Duo bottles.
Discover a material that is both hard and soft—Thermoplastic Crystal (Transtic)! It softens when soaked in hot water above 60°C and hardens like stone in cold water or at room temperature. It's reusable, making it a great helper for crafts and repairs at home.
Dreamcatchers are auspicious ornaments from Native American culture, believed to catch bad dreams and pray for peace. Participants will use old yarn and upcycled materials to weave their own dreamcatcher and can add shells to create a wind chime.
Make handmade candles and learn about the benefits of natural products for both human health and the environment, encouraging environmental protection actions in daily life.
