Purpose
To unleash the creative talents of students through a festive greeting card design competition, while sending blessings for the holidays. Winning entries may be adopted by the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEDJ) to produce electronic or printed greeting cards, used to convey holiday greetings to various government departments, organizations, associations, and individuals.

Senior high school students currently studying in Macao secondary schools.

Entry Requirements
- Originality: Entries must be original and must not use any materials that infringe intellectual property rights.
- Content: Entries must include specified text and the DSEDJ logo (downloadable from the Bureau's website: http://www.dsej.gov.mo/). They must feature dynamic effects and be accompanied by festive music.
- File Submission: Entries must be submitted in electronic format: a Flash animation file (.swf) and a static image file (.jpg).
- Specifications:
- File Format: .swf and .jpg
- File Size: Flash animation file must be less than 2MB; static image file size is unlimited.
- Resolution: Static image file resolution must not be lower than 300dpi.
Judging
A judging panel formed by the DSEDJ will evaluate entries based on criteria including theme relevance, creativity, artistic technique, and computer skills.
Awards (Per Category)
- Champion (1): MOP 3,000 worth of book or stationery vouchers and a certificate. The winning design will become the official DSEDJ holiday greeting card.
- First Runner-up (1): MOP 2,000 worth of book or stationery vouchers and a certificate.
- Second Runner-up (1): MOP 1,000 worth of book or stationery vouchers and a certificate.
- Merit Award (5): MOP 500 worth of book or stationery vouchers and a certificate each.
Submission Details
- Submission Deadline: From now until 5:00 PM, November 15, 2013 (for mailed entries, the postmark date will be considered).
- Submission Hours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Submission Location: Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (DSEDJ), 1st Floor, No. 7-9 Avenida do Dr. Rodrigo Rodrigues, Macao.
- Required Documents:
- Signed application form (downloadable from the Bureau's website).
- A4 color printout of the entry.
- Electronic files of the entry (burned onto a CD), including:
- Output files: .swf and .jpg
- Source files: Editable original electronic files (e.g., .ai, .psd, .fla).
- Copy of the participant's student ID.
- Packaging: All documents must be sealed in an envelope with the following clearly marked on the cover:
- "DSEDJ Christmas and New Year E-Greeting Card Design Competition"
- School Name and Participant's Name
Results Announcement
Winners will be notified by letter before December 16, 2013, and the list of winners will be published on the DSEDJ website.
Important Notes
- Participants must grant copyright of their work to the DSEDJ for any form of publication, use, production, and exhibition related to the competition's promotional materials or activities.
- Copyright and usage rights of winning entries belong to the DSEDJ.
- Entries must be original, unpublished works. Participants are responsible for clarifying copyright issues. Entries found to involve infringement will be disqualified, and participants will bear legal responsibility.
- All submitted works will not be returned.
- The DSEDJ reserves the right to refuse applications, set judging standards, cancel all or part of the competition, and amend or interpret the rules.
- Winners must attend promotional activities related to the competition arranged by the DSEDJ.
- Late submissions or non-compliance with the rules will result in disqualification.
- Participants may submit a maximum of two entries per category.
- Entries must not display the participant's name, personal information, any identifying features, or the name of their school.
