Call for Entries Open!

The much-anticipated Children's Cup 2021 is now accepting submissions! This year's competition theme is "No Plastic, Love Earth", focusing on reducing plastic and environmental protection. It features two distinct contest categories: Hand-drawn Comic Contest and Shopping Bag Creation Contest. The competition is open to all primary and secondary school students in Macau.

Competition Categories

🧑‍🎨 Hand-drawn Comic Contest

• Theme: "Reduce Plastic, Environmental Protection"
• Objective: To encourage children to use their brushes and creativity to depict their inner thoughts on environmental protection. Through comic creation, students can gain a deeper understanding of the impact of plastic products on the environment and human health, thereby promoting the concept of "plastic reduction" and combating plastic pollution.
• Entry Specifications:
  • Contestants must create a 4–6 panel hand-drawn comic centered on the theme.
  • The work must be an original and complete story, with no sequels or unfinished narratives.
  • The submitted work must be an original hand-drawn manuscript on 38 x 29 cm paper, unframed.
  • Works can be created using colored pens, oil pastels, gouache, line drawing, sketching, or other flat drawing methods.
  • Each contestant may submit only one entry.
  • The contest is divided into 4 groups based on the contestant's current grade level.

🛍 Shopping Bag Creation Contest

• Theme: "Reduce Plastic, Environmental Protection"
• Objective: To promote the public use of personal shopping bags and reduce plastic bag consumption. Participants are encouraged to utilize various old or discarded items around them, unleashing infinite creativity to transform and repurpose them into a functional shopping bag, thereby encouraging the practice of environmental concepts in daily life.
• Entry Specifications:
  • Participants can creatively use old or discarded items to make a shopping bag (acceptable bag types include: tote bags, crossbody bags, shoulder bags, or backpacks, recommended size not exceeding 35 x 40 cm).
  • The work must be original and made from old or discarded items.
  • Each contestant may submit only one entry and must include a brief written description of the work (within 100 words).
  • This contest has no group divisions.

Prizes and Recognition

• Winners will be selected and awarded cash prizes and certificates by the judging panel.
• Primary School Group: Cash prizes up to MOP $1,000.
• Secondary School Group: Cash prizes up to MOP $2,000.
• 🏅 Award-winning works may be exhibited in future Dream Children Alliance events.
