Double Bill: TH LNG GDBY & Still Animals
On October 17–18, 2025, Belgian choreographers Tuur and Flup Marinus collaborate with six Macau dancers to present a compelling double bill of contemporary dance at the newly renovated T Theatre.
About the Works
Still Animals (2012)
- Inspired by Eadweard Muybridge's motion studies.
- Performers are placed inside plexiglass boxes, evoking displays in natural history museums.
- Uses the human body as a metaphor for endangered species, offering a quiet reflection on ecological loss.
TH LNG GDBY (2022)
- Merges electro-rock concert energy with contemporary dance.
- Dancers perform complex choreography while beatboxing rhythms.
- Explores 'tension' and 'friction' as physical and social concepts, imagining constructive ways to handle conflict.
Both works, from different starting points, converge on profound questions: How do we reflect on what nature has lost? And how do we build connections in the present?
