The Macao Museum of Art has long been dedicated to art education, integrating art into daily life. Its regularly held Children's Art Workshops have been popular with parents and children for thirteen years. The workshops utilize the museum's exhibition resources as teaching themes, exploring diverse media and sensory experiences to develop children's creative thinking and imagination, guiding them to express personal viewpoints autonomously through creation.
Over the past two years, six sessions of the workshops featured themes such as "A New Look," "Two-Faced Person," "Funny Face," "Painting and Collage Face," "I Am from Africa," "Face to Face," "Wonderful Journey," and "Mischievous Planet Robot." Through various games and interesting stories, the courses help children deepen their self-understanding, recognize people, events, and objects in life, learn to think from multiple perspectives about the subtle relationships between people and between people and the urban landscape, and encourage exploration and reflection on the themes, integrating personal experiences into artistic creation.
This exhibition showcases over one hundred outstanding works by workshop participants, divided into twenty-one units by theme. The works are diverse in form, including three-dimensional pieces, paintings, collages, and more, fully embodying children's creative spirit and precious imagination, making them uniquely interesting.
