Detective Ali x Dad is the 2015 annual public performance by the Chuang Zhi Drama Society.
The story follows two detectives, Ali and his partner 'Dad', who are righteous and fearless but also neurotic, eccentric, and unorthodox in their methods. They receive a mysterious mission to infiltrate the GoBelieve Advertising Company to investigate the bizarre disappearance of the wealthy businessman, Jia Rencai. Confident that the task will be a piece of cake, they soon discover that all the suspects are intricately connected, with schemes within schemes and layers of complexity.
In the face of truth, there lie a thousand lies. Is it people who lie, or society itself? On the path to pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty, can people find a way out amidst conflict and impact?
A fresh, hilarious comedy that is absurd, suspenseful, thrilling, and thought-provoking.
