Challenge Purpose
Unleash your creativity and unlimited potential, turn knowledge into action, use one week to implement changes to improve Macau, and build an "I Can" self-confidence!
Target Participants
- Students from Macau primary and secondary schools aged 9 to 14.
- Participants form teams of up to 5 members, guided by one adult.
Challenge Process
- Feel – Observe potential problems or desired wishes in daily life.
- Imagine – Devise solutions or improvement methods.
- Do – Implement the idea over one week.
- Share – Share the story with people around you and the world.
Awards & Prizes
- All participants receive a special souvenir.
- Upon submission, an internationally recognized participation certificate will be issued.
The challenge features seven special awards, each awarding a trophy and a unique experience:
- Bold Breakthrough Award – For the most daring and innovative concept.
- Mass Appeal Award – For the idea that garnered the most public response.
- Rapid Change Award – For the project that created the fastest impact.
- Eco-Creativity Award – For the idea with the strongest environmental thinking.
- Easiest to Adopt Award – For the solution most easily learned and adopted by others.
- Passing the Torch Award – For the project with the most potential for sustainability and development.
- Most Representative Award – For the project that best represents the characteristics of Macau.
- The most outstanding team from the above awards will represent Macau in an exchange to Hong Kong.
- Excellent Guide Award (7 prizes): Guides of the winning teams receive a certificate and a prize.
- Most Popular Award: A public vote from May to June. Voters get a lottery chance for supermarket vouchers. The highest-voted team members each receive a fine gift.
- Long-Term Participation Award: Rewards participants who completed the challenge in both the previous and current year.
Judging Panel & Criteria
- The judging panel consists of professionals from relevant fields invited by the organizer.
Judging Criteria:
- Potential to benefit the majority.
- Offering new insights into existing problems.
- Achieving significant change within one week.
- Impacting both others' lives and the personal growth of the participants.
How to Enter
- Download and complete the registration form online.
- Email to [email protected] or fax to 2825 7239.
- The organizer will notify the team of their competition number via email.
Submission Requirements
- Work must be in Chinese or English.
- Must include project title, competition number, and clearly express the four challenge steps.
- Record the entire process of the four steps via photos, videos, audio, or text.
- Final presentation as a video (3–5 min short film), slideshow, or report.
How to Submit
- Download and complete the submission form online.
- Burn the work, submission form, and original photo/video files onto a CD.
- Package the CD in a sleeve or bag, labeled with the competition number and "孩子創意行動挑戰賽".
Submit via:
- Mail: To "Macau Chong San Cultural Association, P.O. Box 3083, Macau Post Office". The postmark date is the submission deadline.
- In-person: Monday to Sunday, 11:00–19:30, at "Yue Xue Yue Hao", G/F, Block A, 107 Rua de Horta e Costa, Macau.
Important Notes for Participants
- Teams can be from schools, organizations, or freely formed.
- Each team can only submit one entry.
- Work must be original, non-infringing, and unpublished.
- Copyright and usage rights of all submitted works belong to the organizer for promotional use.
- The organizer may edit, publish, or upload content for promotion without further consent.
- The organizer reserves the right to withhold or cancel awards based on work quality.
- The association may take photos/videos during the event for promotional purposes.
- The organizer reserves the right to amend the rules.
Key Dates
- Registration Deadline: From now until April 15, 2013.
- Submission Deadline: From now until April 30, 2013.
- Results Announcement: All winners will be notified in June 2013.
- Awards Ceremony: To be held in July 2013 (details to be announced).
- Exchange & Special Experience: To take place in August 2013 (details to be notified).
