The performance project 'Q & Y' consists of two works presented as a double bill in one evening. They are 'Mao' created by Gu Yingyuan and 'CAPITAL Q' created by Cheong Chor Seng. Both creators are members of the local art collective 'Comuna de Pedra'. Through these works, they explore the meaning of 'performance' and 'persistence' in performing arts, offering a rare and candid artistic presentation.
A man's body can express itself in many ways: through strength, through courtship, or through the desire to do nothing. The many facets of a man depend on his environment. Today's performance is about the body of this man—Mao.

'CAPITAL Q' takes Lu Xun's modern Chinese work 'The True Story of Ah Q' as a starting point to reinterpret the 'Ah Q Spirit'. The performance does not aim to narrate Lu Xun's story but focuses on using different expressive methods to explore and perform the reality of survival under the 'Ah Q Spirit'.
