The annual Cultural Masters Lecture is back! This year, we are honored to invite the renowned historian of philosophy, Professor Chen Lai, to deliver a lecture titled "Chinese Cultural Values and Worldview from a Global Perspective."
Professor Chen will introduce the core values of Chinese civilization, emphasizing principles of benevolence, the spirit of ritual, a sense of responsibility, community orientation, and the imagination and practice of a kingly way of governance. He will explain how these value principles were not only widely accepted in the pre-modern East Asian world but can also complement Western modernity values today. They hold universal practical significance for building interconnected communities, cooperative politics, and a harmonious world globally.
