Program Overview
The second edition of the "Cultural Ambassador" program is now recruiting participants! This initiative invites experts, scholars, and seasoned professionals from the cultural and communication fields to serve as mentors. Through a series of experiential training courses, cultural exchanges, and leadership projects, the program aims to cultivate participants' understanding, pride, and sense of belonging towards Chinese traditions and Macau culture. It further helps participants understand Macau's cultural work, enhance aesthetic appreciation and cultural communication skills, and stimulate innovative talent.
Program Highlights
- Experiential Training Courses covering:
- Appreciation of Chinese Culture
- Macau Historic Centre and Cultural Heritage
- Macau Community Stories
- Cultural and Artistic Appreciation
- Event Planning Skills and Practice
- Cultural Communication Techniques
- Cultural Exchange Trips to gain in-depth understanding of local traditional culture, its inheritance, and innovation, broadening horizons.
- Leadership Project where participants can develop and implement creative and innovative ideas for cultural promotion tasks, based on personal interests, expertise, experience, and influence, combined with learnings from the courses and exchanges.
Upon completion, participants will officially become "Cultural Ambassadors," taking on the mission of promoting, inheriting, and disseminating Macau culture.
Recruitment Details
- Target Participants: Macau residents aged 18 or above who love culture and arts and are passionate about cultural communication and heritage.
- Quota: 50 participants
- Application Period: March 22 to April 9, 2021

- In-person delivery to the Cultural Affairs Bureau Building at Tap Seac Square, Macau. Office hours: Monday–Thursday 9:00–13:00, 14:30–17:45; Friday 9:00–13:00, 14:30–17:30.

- Selection Process: Evaluation based on application form content and an interview. Selection is merit-based.
