Performance Synopsis Dance Theatre 'Lofty Mountains and Flowing Water' explores themes of resistance against rampant materialism and the waves of influence it creates. In today's world, amidst material abundance and broadening perspectives, our bodies—their actions, experiences, and environments—reflect a certain charm in the social order and ordinary life, encompassing both joy and pain, praise and punishment.

Through dancers of different ages and identities on stage, they continuously repeat a certain ideological movement, forming an abstract, multi-dimensional, and layered expression that reflects a yearning for contemporary social, political, and global forms.

Current society encourages the proliferation of desire. We indulge, we are passive. 'Lofty Mountains and Flowing Water' represents an individual's lofty ideals. The body may die, but the spirit endures.
