The Cotai Ecological Protection Zone, located near the Lotus Bridge in Cotai, is an important wetland resource in Macao. It consists of Zone 1, which has limited public access, and Zone 2, which is under open management.
To allow more residents to appreciate the flora and fauna resources of Zone 1 under the guidance of docents, thereby raising awareness of ecological conservation, the Environmental Protection Bureau is further enhancing the visitation arrangements for the Cotai Ecological Protection Zone. It regularly organizes the "Cotai Ecological Protection Zone Public Viewing Day" activity, where participants can visit the ecological zone under the guidance of a docent.
