Purpose

To encourage university students to unleash their creativity and leverage peer influence through a micro-film creation competition. The aim is to enhance the understanding of the Constitution of the People's Republic of China among Macao residents, particularly university students, and to correctly comprehend the relationship between the Constitution and the Macao Special Administrative Region Basic Law, as well as the Constitution and Macao, laying a solid foundation for the smooth progress of the "One Country, Two Systems" principle.

Eligibility

• Participants must be students enrolled in higher education programs at local Macao institutions, or Macao residents studying in higher education programs outside Macao.
• Participation is in team format.
• Each team must consist of 1 to 6 students, with at least two-thirds of the members being Macao residents.
• Teams can be freely formed by students from different higher education institutions.
• Each team can only submit one entry.

Registration Period

From now until October 22, 2017.

Competition Requirements & Arrangements

• Entries must be based on one of the following seven themes related to the "Constitution of the People's Republic of China," assigned via a lottery draw:
  1. The supreme status of the Constitution.
  2. The system of respecting and safeguarding the sovereignty of the state.
  3. The Constitution as the fundamental legal basis for "One Country, Two Systems."
  4. Safeguarding national unity and security.
  5. The relationship between the Central Government and the SAR, and the Central Government's overall jurisdiction over the SAR.
  6. The fundamental rights and duties of citizens.
  7. National symbols.
• The creation, filming, and production of the micro-film must be done by members of the same team. There is no restriction on the number of actors or performers.
• During the registration period, teams must fill out the competition application form and team member information form on the Macao College Student Tribe website and upload valid student ID information.
• The Higher Education Services Office will conduct a lottery draw on the morning of October 23 at its office to assign a theme to each eligible team.
• Questions regarding the theme content can be submitted via email or in writing. Responses will be uploaded to the competition webpage for reference by other teams.
• By November 22, 2017, teams must submit a brief introduction of their micro-film and the work file, either:
  • Burned onto a DVD and delivered to the Macao University Students Centre or the Higher Education Services Office, or
  • Uploaded to a personal cloud storage service (e.g., Dropbox, Google Drive, Baidu Cloud) with the download link and access password emailed to [email protected]. The email subject must state "Macao College Student Micro Film Creation Competition - Entry" and include the team name in the email body.
