Overview
With the rising use of smartphones, mobile app development has become a global trend in the information technology industry. To enhance public awareness of the 'Community Tourism Project' and enable IT talents to follow this trend by designing creative mobile applications, the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) is organizing the 'Community Tourism Mobile App Concept Design Competition'. This competition aims to promote the 'Community Tourism Project', increase the number of third-party apps introducing Macao tourism, and foster the application of new information technologies in Macao's tourism promotion.
Macao is an international city that has been a place of harmonious coexistence between Chinese and Western cultures for centuries. It boasts a rich World Heritage site, numerous historical landmarks, Chinese and Western architecture, various streets and alleys, distinctive cuisine, and local customs—all forming a community that solidifies the blend of Eastern and Western cultures and the intersection of different ethnicities. This competition focuses on developing Macao's historical and cultural tourist attractions, hoping to present relevant information about Macao's tourist spots and cultural history through different models.
