To vigorously promote the development of Macao's cultural and creative industries, the "Colorful Macao – Wooden Postcard Coloring Competition" is now open for registration. This event invites participants to use their coloring pencils to bring life to World Heritage monument illustrations on wooden postcards. Through this creative process, participants will engage with the lines and contours of these historic sites, deepening their understanding of Macao's cultural heritage. The goal is to spark interest in the city's World Heritage among local residents and raise public awareness of Macao's cultural legacy.
Event coordinator Xie Wenfeng noted that in the seventeen years since Macao's successful World Heritage inscription, many local children and youths have a limited understanding of these sites—"knowing the name but not the form, and even less the meaning." This competition aims to enhance their knowledge and interest in Macao's World Historical and Cultural Heritage, creating an opportunity for them to connect with the stories of the city they live in.
