Eligibility & Application
- Eligibility: Macau middle school students aged 12 or above.
- Groups: Participants will be divided into junior and senior secondary groups.
- How to Apply: Submit the completed application form with a copy of ID card, valid student card, and two recent photos to the application venue.
- Selection: Based on eligibility, application documents, and an interview.
Program Objectives
- Improve comprehensive English skills, vocabulary, and conversational application.
- Understand Chinese culture and appreciate traditional Chinese arts.
- Enhance physical fitness and foster team spirit.
Program Content
- English Courses: Focus on public speaking (word choice, rhetoric, engaging an audience, body language) and group drama adaptation to improve writing, oral expression, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Film & Music Courses: Enhance music appreciation and provide an overview of Chinese/foreign music and film/animation production, taught in Chinese and English.
- Chinese Art Courses: Introduce the beauty of Chinese culture through traditional painting and calligraphy appreciation.
- Sports Courses: Learn a foundational Chinese sport to master basic skills and improve physical fitness.
- Team Building Courses: Develop teamwork, communication, and mutual trust.
Teaching Staff
- English Courses: Taught by experienced foreign teachers, with a dedicated English postgraduate assistant per class.
- Film & Music Courses: Led by senior teachers from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.
- Sports Courses: Conducted by senior coaches from the university's Sports Department.
- Class Management: Each class has a dedicated homeroom teacher for student affairs.
Logistics & Accommodation
- Accommodation: Stay at the University Town Academic Exchange Center, sharing twin rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, hot water, bottled water, and broadband internet.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided at the university canteen; supper delivered to rooms.
