This picture book series, set against the backdrop of Coloane, aims to uncover the small stories of Macau's Coloane district, using the picture book medium to embody its humanistic charm. It represents a new endeavor by the Macau Amateur Comic Society. As Coloane develops alongside the SAR's urban expansion, its old legends and new architecture intertwine to create a unique sense of place.
Members of the Macau Amateur Comic Society have undertaken this creative project, drawing inspiration from Coloane's history, culture, and scenery. The exhibition will showcase illustrations from four picture book stories: The Returning Turtle, Butterfly Valley, The Escorting Dolphin, and The Dream of the Glass Mask.
