Coloane Historical Architecture Tour
Content
Taipa and Coloane are located east of the Inner and Outer Cross Gates. The old districts of Coloane and Taipa both have a history of about 300 years. The old districts of Taipa and Coloane are popular tourist destinations where visitors can explore ancient sites along the Coloane historical architecture route.
Tour Route
Meet at the Octagonal Pavilion Bus Stop at 9:30 AM for boarding → Coloane Municipal Market → Coloane Health Centre → Kun Iam Ancient Temple → Tin Hau Ancient Temple → Tam Sin Temple → Coloane Library → St. Francis Xavier Church → Sam Seng Temple → Coloane Power Station → Concluding at Wong Weng Kuan Library in Taipa → Drop-off and dismissal at the Education and Youth Affairs Bureau (Headquarters).

- Target Participants: Priority registration for individuals aged 50 or above; other interested persons may also participate.
- Note: This is an outdoor walking activity. Participants should self-assess their physical fitness.
Important Notes
- Reading Club members receive priority registration and 2 reading credits.
- Registered participants unable to attend must notify library staff 3 days before the event. Two unjustified absences will result in a 3-month suspension of activity rights.
- Registered participants must arrive on time. Being late by 15 minutes or more forfeits participation rights for that activity.
- Severe Weather Arrangements: Outdoor activities are cancelled or suspended during heavy rain, thunderstorm warnings, or Signal No. 3. Indoor activities proceed as usual. All activities are cancelled during Signal No. 8. If cancelled, participants should keep their receipts (if any) for arrangements by the organizer.
- Interested individuals can register via the Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) website, by phone at 8294 7931, or in person at any IACM library during the specified period. If registrations exceed the quota, a computer lottery will be used. Results will be announced on the IACM Library website on November 1: http://library.iacm.gov.mo. Successful applicants will be notified by phone.
