Event Overview
Organized by the Macao Heritage Ambassadors Association and sponsored by Wynn Macau Care, the "Small City, Big Discovery 2019 – Macao Pirate King" orienteering competition is now open for registration. This event aims to engage Macao's youth by combining maritime culture with classic animation elements.
Event Details
- Theme: Macao's maritime culture, integrated with Lingnan marine culture and classic animation.
- Objective: To enhance participants' understanding of Macao's history and culture, strengthen community awareness among local youth and tourists, and promote sustainable cultural tourism.
- Date: Saturday, July 6, 2019
- Time: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Eligibility: Macao residents aged 16–26
- Team Format: Teams of 3, limited to 40 teams total.
- Prizes: Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and 3rd Runner-up. Winning teams have the chance to receive cash prizes up to MOP 2,000.
Registration & Fees
- Registration Period: From now until June 24, 2019.
- Admission: Free.
- Deposit: Successfully registered teams must pay a MOP 100 deposit, which will be refunded upon completion of the competition on the event day.
- Selection: If the number of applications exceeds the limit, participants will be selected by lottery.
