Humanitarian documentaries with profound social significance have gained increasing attention in recent years. Hong Kong director Tsang Tsui Shan, whose film and video works often focus on humanistic care and who actively participates in environmental and underprivileged filmmaking, was awarded the "Humanitarian Award" by FilmAid Asia this year. She will host the film salon talk "Documentary Production—Self-Exploration and Community Records" at Cinematheque.Passion, sharing how to start from oneself to explore the possibilities of community documentation. Using Hong Kong's Hau Chung Village as a backdrop, she will discuss how to create a series of visual works.
Organized by Cinematheque.Passion under the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
