Workshop Overview
Experience the effects of rendering, water-splashing, and powder-splashing techniques in Chinese ink painting. Learn to utilize both the controllable and uncontrollable elements of the medium, enjoying the process of following your heart's flow. If the result isn't what you envisioned, why not appreciate it from a different perspective?
This workshop introduces traditional Chinese ink painting techniques, focusing on the principle of 'Ying Wu Xiang Xing' (responding to the object's form) from Xie He's 'Guhua Pinlu' (a classic text on ancient Chinese painting). This method emphasizes the concrete expression of form, translating the image in your mind onto paper through an inward-to-outward creative process. Quiet your mind and appreciate the beauty of 'flowers'.
