Overview
"China Through Journalists' Eyes" is a photography competition that invites journalists to submit their best works, aiming to capture the charm, sentiment, and rapid development of China through their unique journalistic perspective. Winning entries will be publicly exhibited in Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou.
Competition Details
- Theme: Capturing the essence of China through a journalist's lens.
- Objective: To showcase the beauty, cultural richness, and developmental strides of China.
Submission Categories
Participants can submit entries in two distinct categories:

Scenic Splendor (迤邐風光):
- Focuses on landscape photography.
- Subjects include natural beauty, cityscapes, urban development, and scenes depicting progress across different regions.

Cultural Heritage (厚蘊人文):
- Focuses on humanistic photography.
- Subjects should reflect vibrant culture, the spirit of the Chinese nation, and local sentiments.
Submission Guidelines
- Format: Digital files only.
- File Requirements: Maximum 6MB, JPG format only.
- Shooting Period: Photos must be taken between July 1, 2013, and July 10, 2014.
- Submission Limit: One photo per category per participant.
- Submission Method: Email entries to

- Email Subject: Must include "記者眼中的中華大地" (China Through Journalists' Eyes).
Prizes
The competition offers substantial rewards across multiple tiers:
- First Prize (1 winner): HKD 50,000 in cash and prizes.
- Second Prize (5 winners): HKD 20,000 in cash and prizes each.
- Third Prize (10 winners): HKD 5,000 in cash and prizes each.
- Merit Award (50 winners): HKD 1,000 in cash and prizes each.
Timeline & Judging
- Submission Period: From now until July 15, 2014.
- Judging Period: July - August 2014.
- Judging Criteria: Relevance to theme, creativity, composition, and photographic technique.
- Results Announcement: September 2014.
Exhibition & Awards Ceremony
- Awards Ceremony & Exhibition Opening: To be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
- Subsequent Exhibitions: Winning works will be exhibited at:
