Macau's highly acclaimed young pianist, Cheung Sit Sang, makes his debut at the Cultural Centre with his first-ever solo recital!
About the Artist
- Origin: Born in Macau, Cheung Sit Sang began learning piano at the age of three.
- Achievements: He has won numerous awards in competitions. Most recently, at the 6th Macau (Global) Inter-School Competition in 2017, he defeated strong contenders from around the world to clinch first place in the International Student category. He also received awards including the Top Ten Most Promising Talent Award and the Best Technique Award.
- Training: He has been selected for the Macau Elite Vienna Training Programme for three consecutive years, studying European culture and advanced performance techniques.
- International Experience: He has represented Macau on international tours to countries and regions including Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Guangzhou, Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, and Italy.

His talent has garnered attention from renowned music professors:
- Professor Elisabeth Dvorak-Weisshaar from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, Austria, remarked: "A stunning, captivating tone that catches the eye—he has achieved it."
- Professor Ting Hsin-Ju from National Chiayi University, Taiwan, noted: "His physical condition is exceptionally good, a rarity among young pianists today."
The Dream & The Performance
In an interview with TDM, Cheung expressed his dream of recording a personal album featuring Liszt's 12 Transcendental Études. This recital marks the beginning of that dream.
