This special concert celebrates the 21st anniversary of Macau's return to China. It focuses on the works of Xian Xinghai, a great 'people's musician' who created a vast body of work in his short life, including immortal masterpieces such as The Yellow River Cantata and Production Cantata.
The Macao Chinese Orchestra has invited a top-tier national folk orchestra and choir from mainland China to present the full scope of the wartime folk music choral work, Production Cantata, allowing the audience to appreciate a century of China's struggle and history through music.
