To celebrate the 67th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the Cultural Affairs Bureau and the Cultural and Educational Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Macao SAR, with the coordination of the Sports Bureau, present a special cultural evening. The Guangzhou Acrobatic Art Theatre Co., Ltd. is specially invited to Macao to perform the large-scale martial arts acrobatic drama "The Swordsman" (based on Jin Yong's classic novel).
Concession tickets are available for the following groups. Proof of eligibility must be presented upon entry.
Directed by renowned national director Shen Chen, "The Swordsman" is the first acrobatic drama adapted from Jin Yong's wuxia novel. It innovatively blends acrobatics, martial arts, dance, drama, and Cantonese folk performing arts. The narrative follows the classic conflict between good and evil, centered on the coveted "Sunflower Manual."
The production features dozens of newly developed acrobatic acts, breaking from traditional performance modes. It is supported by high-level stage design, music, costumes, and lighting, creating a fluid, scroll-like visual experience that showcases the charm of Chinese martial arts culture and aesthetics.
