Caritas Macau continues its successful charity run event in 2017, building on the positive response from the community last year. The event aims to promote the spirit of sportsmanship, encourage public participation in running, and use sport as a medium to advocate for the inclusion of people with disabilities and foster family harmony. All funds raised will be used for Caritas's charitable purposes and to develop new services.

Event Details

• Event Period: July 22 – October 8, 2017
• Registration Period: July 22 – September 10, 2017
• Registration Fee: MOP 100 per participant
• Categories: Open Group, Family Group, Disability-Inclusive Group, and Fitness Walk Group.
• Encouragement: Able-bodied participants are encouraged to join the Disability-Inclusive Group to run alongside persons with disabilities, promoting an inclusive spirit.
• New for 2017: The Fitness Walk Group is introduced to encourage seniors and walking enthusiasts to complete the challenge at a leisurely pace.
• Finisher Rewards: Participants who complete the challenge within the time limit will receive a commemorative medal and a towel.

Fundraising & Merchandise

To support the charity run, Caritas is selling commemorative T-shirts and sports water bottles. The public is encouraged to purchase these items to help raise additional funds.

Registration

Participants can register in person at any of the five designated Caritas locations (Caritas Macau, Caritas Library, Areia Preta Catholic Pastoral Centre, Chun Koi Court, Hong Fai Elderly Day Care Centre) or at the University of Macau.
