Macau Drama Society presents its annual production, the satirical comedy Can't Afford? Don't Pay! by renowned Italian playwright Dario Fo. Directed by acclaimed Hong Kong director Ho Ho Yuen, this hilarious farce explores the absurdities of modern life.
Can't Afford? Don't Pay! is a wildly funny and chaotic farce. As the cost of living soars and household budgets shrink, a group of housewives bands together to take matters into their own hands at the supermarket, sparking a riotous political and domestic comedy.
Director Ho Ho Yuen holds a Master's degree in Drama and Theatre Education from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts (HKAPA). He won the HKAPA's Outstanding Actor Award and scholarship for two consecutive years starting in 1989. A former TVB contract artist, he has performed in over 200 films, TV shows, voice-over projects, and stage plays. He has directed over 100 productions and currently serves as a judge for the Hong Kong Drama Awards (Hong Kong Federation of Drama Societies) and an acting instructor for TVB's artist training program.
