Performance Synopsis
A murder occurs in a quiet farmhouse in a small town. The men arrive to investigate, meticulously searching for evidence. The women help tidy up but are constantly distracted by trivial domestic details in the kitchen, drawing ridicule from the men. However, these seemingly insignificant trifles hold the key to solving the case.
"There's nothing here but kitchen things." Clues are hidden in the unremarkable details. We follow the women as they unravel the mystery through a series of minor observations... The evidence-gathering process, initially aimed at finding the culprit, uncovers long-hidden secrets.
"Trifles" is based on a real, sensational news story from 1900. Its premiere caused a sensation, and it is considered one of the greatest American plays.
