"Body/Deconstruction" is back! The 2019 edition, themed "Twelve Twenty," coincides with the 20th anniversary of Macau's handover. We have invited three local creators to reflect on the past two decades through their personal experiences. What have we gained? What have we lost?

Rather than waiting, driving your own car allows you to wait inside, chatting with your wife and kids, listening to music, eating snacks—much more comfortable than being squeezed on a bus.

Today, twenty years later, in this tiny territory of Macau, there is an astonishing ratio of one car for every 5.77 people and one motorcycle for every 5.38 people (based on data from the Statistics and Census Service for the fourth quarter of 2018). Buses, taxis, tour buses, along with informally permitted bicycles and various strange wheeled vehicles. Over six hundred thousand Macau residents travel daily for different purposes—work, entertainment, dates, going home/not yet able to go home—crowding onto narrow streets...
Looking out from the "car windows" of different "classes," are the "scenery" and "change" seen also different?
