Competition Overview
A short film competition for Macau secondary school students to explore and creatively express their vision for the future development of the four key industries in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin.

Objectives
- To deepen youth understanding of the development status of the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone.
- To encourage students to imagine and present their ideas for the four key industries through a creative, youth-oriented lens.
- To nurture students' directing, acting, and creative talents through training courses, filming, and production.
Competition Theme
Create a short film centered on the development of the four key industries:
- Technology R&D and High-End Manufacturing
- Macao Brand Industries (e.g., Traditional Chinese Medicine)
- Cultural Tourism, MICE, and Commerce
- Modern Financial Services
Content may include elements of financial management or electronic payment technology.
Eligibility
- Full-time secondary school students studying in Macau.
- Participants may enter individually or as a team (team members must be from the same school, with a maximum of 5 members).
- Both individual and team entries must have a supervising teacher from their school.
Registration & Submission
- Registration Period: From now until March 31, 2022.
- How to Register: Download the application form from the Macao Federation of Youth Associations website (http://www.aecm.org.mo). Email the completed form along with copies of the participant's Macau ID and student card to [email protected].
- Submission Deadline: April 11 – May 10, 2022.
- Submission Method: Upload the short film to YouTube (set as unlisted) and email the video link from the registered email address to [email protected].
Training Courses (At least one team member must attend each session)

Judging Criteria (Professional Judging on May 20, 2022)
- Theme Expression: 40% (Relevance to the chosen theme)
- Creative Performance: 30% (Uniqueness of presentation)
- Overall Presentation: 30% (Completeness of the work)
Awards & Prizes
All shortlisted teams will receive a certificate of appreciation.
- First Prize: MOP 8,000
- Second Prize: MOP 6,000
- Third Prize: MOP 4,000
- Best Screenplay: MOP 2,000
- Best Editing: MOP 2,000
- Best Actor/Actress: MOP 2,000
- Best Supervising Teacher Award (for First Prize winner's teacher): MOP 1,000
- Winner Announcement: May 25, 2022, on the Macao Federation of Youth Associations website (www.aecm.org.mo).
- Awards Ceremony: June 11, 2022 (attendance is mandatory for winners).
- Additional Perk: Participants who successfully register and submit a work, and who open a Bank of China account, register for BOC tax services, or activate mobile banking, will receive a MOP 100 BOC voucher (while supplies last). Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent to open an account.
Entry Requirements
- At least one team member must appear on screen.
- Duration: Maximum 2 minutes (excluding opening and closing credits).
- Genre: Any (e.g., documentary, drama).
- Format: Resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels or higher. File format: MOV or MP4.
- File Naming: [Work Title], Author's Name or Team Name.
- Equipment: Any filming equipment is permitted.
- Participants must attend all four training courses organized by the host.
- The work must be original and must not have been previously published or publicly released in any media.
- Content must not involve plagiarism, pornography, violence, racial or class discrimination, political topics, or marketing.
