Spring is a time for wandering, listening, watching, speaking, singing, connecting with nature, and engaging in face-to-face conversations.
Boat and Art Journal is our annual opportunity to meet the public face-to-face. The year 2017 saw many events at the Lap Sap Shipyard, from its demolition to Typhoon Hato. Coincidentally, it was also the year Dream Theatre began a series of theatrical performances about the shipyard. In our most uncertain moments, concerned about the future of Lap Sap, we sought a glimmer of hope within the theatre. This led to the meeting between Mok Ka Hou (Jason), the 'Big and Small Life' project, and the formation of a creative team. It subsequently spurred the establishment of the "Shipbuilding Craft Culture Association". Now, as the shipyard undergoes revitalization, we return to the starting point of creation to share stories of the interactions between Mok Ka Ho (Jason), Fok Ka Hang (Perry), and the Coloane community.
