Purpose
To celebrate Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) Macau's 120th anniversary in 2022 and support local creative and cultural development, the bank is hosting the "BNU 120th Anniversary Logo Design Competition" and invites all Macau residents to participate.
The winning logo will be used across various events, promotional materials, and bank merchandise, circulating within Macau society in 2022, making it a significant and meaningful opportunity.
Design Theme
The logo design must revolve around the image of BNU and must include the following elements:
- "120th Anniversary"
- "週年"
- "120 Years Moving Forward With You"
- "護航百二載 攜手建將來"
Eligibility
- Open to all holders of a Macau Resident Identity Card.
- Participants must enter as individuals.
- Each person may submit only one entry.
Prizes
- Champion (1 winner): Cash prize of MOP 15,000
- Most Creative Award (2 winners): Cash prize of MOP 3,500 each
- Outstanding Merit Award (7 winners): Cash prize of MOP 1,000 each

Key Dates
- Submission Period: From now until 5:00 PM, October 15, 2021. Entries must be emailed to [email protected] by this deadline.
- Results Announcement: The list of 10 winners will be announced on the BNU website by October 29, 2021. BNU will individually notify the champion and the other 9 winners. Non-winners will not be contacted separately.
Judging Process
A judging panel consisting of BNU representatives and invited design experts will evaluate all entries based on the following criteria:
- Theme and concept
- Creativity and expression
- Visual impact
- Color coordination
- Ease and feasibility of application across various promotional channels and materials
Submission Specifications
All entries must adhere to the following format and requirements:
File Format:
- .AI or .EPS format
- CMYK color mode
- All text must be outlined (converted to paths)
- PDF-compatible file
- Must be created using vector illustration software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator)
Dimensions:
- Must not exceed 15cm x 15cm
File Size:
Additional Requirements:
- The design should be easily scalable and suitable for application on various print materials, digital promotions, and communication channels.
- Must specify CMYK color codes and font names used.
- Must include a written description (in Chinese and/or English) explaining the creative concept, graphic symbolism, color meaning, and applicability.
File Naming Convention:
- Email Subject: Name_LOGO
- Preview Image: Name_LOGO.jpg
- Vector File: Name_LOGO.ai (or .eps)
- Application Form: Name_FORM.pdf (or .jpg). Note: The form must be fully completed and signed as per the ID document specimen.
- Macau ID Scan (Front): Name_ID.pdf (or .jpg)
