Purpose
To learn new communication models, skills, and methods through group activities, exploring a comfortable communication style for both parents and children, thereby helping to enhance or improve parent-child relationships.
Format
The program incorporates games, role-playing, exercises, videos, short talks, sharing, and discussions to provide participants with experiential learning.
Content
- Understanding factors leading to ineffective communication and communication barriers between parents and children.
- Learning active listening and "I-message" communication techniques.
- Recognizing the impact of irrational thoughts.
- Mastering and applying the four-step process of compassionate communication.
- Gaining insight into modern youth subculture.
Key Information
- Target Participants: Parents with children aged 10-14.
- Dates: March 15, 22, 29 & April 12, 19, 26 (Every Wednesday).
- Time: 19:30–21:00 (1.5 hours).
- Quota: 6-8 participants.
- Fee: MOP 20 per parent (Free for center members).
